What is Preventive Health?

Preventive health, or preventive care, includes health services focused on preventing illness and disease. This includes health screenings, immunizations, and even dietitian services. Taking a proactive approach to health helps you feel your best and recover from illness faster.

The Role of Nutrition in Preventive Healthcare

What you eat is directly related to your mental, physical, and emotional health. When you nourish your body with the right nutrients, you tend to have more energy and a stronger immune system. Partnering with a dietitian enables you to get expert guidance tailored to your unique needs, allowing you to live life to the fullest.

What Can a Dietitian Do For You?

Proper nutrition is one of the cornerstones of a healthy life. Dietitians play a major role in helping you achieve a balanced diet and lifestyle habits. Partnering with a dietitian can help you:

Embrace preventive health by reducing the risk of diet-related diseases through proactive strategies

Craft a personalized way of eating that is aligned with your health goals and includes the foods you love

Gain more confidence in your day-to-day choices and cultivate a healthier body image

Feel more energized and revitalized by fueling your body with the right nutrients

Do All Insurance Plans Cover Preventive Care?

Under the Affordable Care Act, most health insurance providers are required to cover preventive care. However, be sure to check with your provider to see what your specific plan covers. At Dietitian Live, 98% of clients pay $0 out of pocket when they partner with dietitians for preventive health or other health conditions.
